The title of the entry comes from the Miss America Pageant held yesterday. I think it really says what I would like to say after over 20 years in the education field. It encapsulates all that we need to know about the quality of our system!
I hope she has a sense of humor. (Update: It turns out she does! See video below.) I know there have been many times when I have been tongue tied. For instance, in high school, I played the role of Cardinal Wolsey in Anne of a Thousand Days. I had one big line. I said, “Catherine will not annul your marriage to the Pope.” I was supposed to say, “The Pope will not annul your marriage to Catherine.” Oh, well, I guess the Catholic church was a little more liberal in those days!
