A Magical Night with Brave Combo

Here is Robert, Harrisen, Stensen and me with members of the Band. Carl is in between Harrisen and me.

Those of you that know me, and my buddy from high school, Robert Edison Stinson, know that we are both nutsoid for 2 time Grammy Award winning group BRAVE COMBO (@bravecombo). We have been following them for 22 years of their 35 year existence.

I first took my children to see them in Connecticut in 2004.  Well, I had the pleasure of taking HarrisEn and StensEn to see them this past Wednesday.  Not only that, I was able to get Brave Combo’s permission, from Carl Finch, to video their performance with @GoPro cameras and with HD SLRs.  Carl was so gracious and even wore a head strapped GoPro for the 2nd set!

Not only was Brave Combo’s performance beyond magical, but the best part was when the boys told me that this was the best thing they have ever experienced in their lives!

Wow!

The first video below is UNDERCOVER MEDLEY (one of my faves) and the next one is one of the first I put together quickly. It shows a minute of one of their best songs: THE HOKEY POKEY.

4-12-14 Updated post with video shot by the GoPro cam that Carl wore on his head.  The songs are Chem oo Chem and Chopsticks.  See below.

  1. Grammar Nazi says this sentence…

    >>Here is Robert, Harrisen, Stensen and I with members of the Band. Carl is in between Harrisen and I.<<

    …should read…

Here is Robert, Harrisen, Stensen and me with members of the Band. Carl is in between Harrisen and me.

  2. Oh, I didn’t see you there.

    LOL.

Thanks for the correction. That’s what you get when you let your granddaughter type your blog posts.
