I cannot believe I did it. Somehow, I was able to overcome my fear of heights, and complete the hike to Delicate Arch at Arches National Park.
I was dizzy from the heights and drenched with sweat. I was able to take some pix, but hardly what I would have done if I was not freaked out by the height. I also flew the drone (video below) but did not fly it much because I had to be laying down (see photos) just to be able to manage to fly it. I have since found out that flying them is illegal at national parks. Would not have flown it had I known.
The arch in the alcove across the canyon to the northeast, which is in your slide show, is called Echo Arch. I hiked over there for the first time in October, and I am really glad I did – VERY interesting formations.
