Stensen and I, along with two of Stensen’s friends, took a 2-day camping trip to the Nantahala River. This is one of our family’s most treasured destinations.
One of the things that made this trip fantastic, was our journey down river to Wesser Falls. Wesser is about a 20 foot drop, class 5 rapid. After exploring the actual falls, we walked further down river and found a peaceful spot where we could swim across the chilly river to another minor waterfall from a brook feeding the river. Both Stensen and I LOVED it!
As soon as we arrived at the campsite, I set up a GoPro camera on time lapse to record our day at the site. The video is below.
Of course, the main draw to the river is to actually run the river. Stensen and his friends took a raft and I went down in a “duckie.” A little video from the run is found below.
