I continue to fill out my camera bag with a complement of lenses. My latest addition is the  AF-S Micro Nikkor 85mm f3.5 G ED lens. I picked up online from Amazon as a new-to-me lens at a great deal.

As soon as I took it out of the box, I took these pix of a red pepper and a fairy tale pumpkin.

Back in the day, I had a 55mm micro. I didn’t really do much with it. I love this 85 for two reasons. First, it gets me back into the micro game and I can do some cool shots in that realm. Secondly, it gives me an 85mm to shoot with. I love the focal length and look forward to taking some portraits with it.
