An intriguing view looking EAST at sunset
While I was working in my home office this afternoon, I glanced out the window to look at the lake in the distance. I saw lots of clouds with diverse appearance. I knew that today’s sunset would be terrific. So I gathered my gear and headed out to Utah Lake State Park.
I took pix in all directions. The top photo was looking EAST. The next two are looking SOUTH and WEST respectively.
The view SOUTH. Love the hanging “wall cloud”
The view WEST.
My D7100 stands proud during its time lapse
The first thing I did when I arrived was to set up my D7100 with my 18-150 on my tripod. I set the time lapse mode to take a pic every 10 seconds. I ended up with over 300 pix that made the time lapse shown below. After getting it set up (see inset photo) I quickly noticed that there were about 10 other photographers lurking around. One lady was really working the low angle and trying it from several angles. Another man was wading out into the water and setting up his tripod. It was really cool seeing so many working hard to get some good snaps. There are some pix of the other photogs below the video along with an array of other pix from the shoot.
Pix of other photographers below
Love this shot of a lady photographer working the sunset. Below you will see a close up of her.
