You may know that Stensen, my son, lives in GA. He generally comes out for a visit in summer and during Christmas. We love having him here sooooo much. Today he left to fly back home and I have my usual sadness with his departure.
He is such a cool person.
We spent a lot of time just hanging out and being together. However, as cool as that is, there were two things we did that were killer. The first was a sunset hike in Dry Canyon with Harrisen. The second was a campout in American Fork Canyon with all his siblings, except for Elias who is overseas in the Army.
The Sunset hike
Here are the pix I got from the sunset hike. Stensen shot some on his super cool 48MP phone. First the photos I took.

The photos below were all taken by Stensen on his cell phone. I love the one of my sitting in the grass. The second photo is looking south toward Utah Lake.
The Campout
One of the things that Stensen talked about months before his visit was going on a campout together. Harrisen found us a TERRIFIC spot on the banks of the American Fork River in American Fork Canyon. We had the entire tree-encircled and seclude sweet spot to ourselves.

We had a super chill campout. We played in the river a bit, relaxed in hammocks and tents, cooked some food, listened to music and enjoyed the heck our of the natural surroundings.

One of the funniest parts of the campout was the fact the no one got much sleep. No one was comfortable and some were cold. Stensen could not sleep due to the loud sound of the river. He got up around 1a and tried to get into the girls’ tent. They ignored him. He then came to my tent to get the keys to go sleep in the car.
the lunch box
Harrisen brought his amazing Bob Ross lunch box with him and naturally it had to become part of our happy and beautiful surrounds. It brought us the joy of camping. The video is my favorite.
Finally we end with anothe summary type video. This one shows the “crossing of the Delaware” by RiRi and Harrisen.
