MOUNTAIN PHOTO SHOOT

My morning commune today was focused on something you see a lot of here on my blog: Mount Timpanogos in Provo, UT.

This is not the peak of Timp, but I still like it.

I have been getting up every morning for a couple of weeks and my first thing to do is grab my camera gear and head out into the world. My communing with the natural surroundings has been quite therapeutic and rewarding.

Today was no different.

A close up of Timp. Check out the blowing snow and clouds.

I got out the door a little later than normal and quickly realized I had missed a good portion of the sunrise on the mountains. Even so, I was able to get a few nice pics.

If I had more time, today would have been a terrific day for a time lapse. The clouds and blowing snow were really moving today across the mountaintop. You can see some of that in the photo above and in the photo below.

You can see the blowing snow and clouds as the kiss the top of Timp

I will continue my obsession with Mt. Timpanogos. First, it is the first thing I see when I go out my front door. Second, it is so close. Third, it is so beautiful. I have plans to start a 365 day photo essay of the mountain. That project will take about, oh I don’t know, a year to complete.

Stay tuned!
