Some of my favorite snaps from the past week's hikes in Utah.
Yesterday I finally did something I had been planning to do for over 4 years. I climbed Mt. Timpanogos. We encountered what I will now forever call, Satan's Cliff of Eternal Hell and Damnation.
Sometimes being in the wrong place works out fine. My hike today was an example of that.
Today was the day of trail exploration. I headed out from the Bonneville Shoreline trail head with the intention of going deeper into the canyon on that trail than I ever had before. While I did accomplish the goal of going deeper into the canyon than every before, I did not do it on the Shoreline trail, I actually hopped off the trail and explored a vast network of smaller tributary trails.
On May 1 of each year, Squaw Peak Road is opened back up for car travel. There are several trails that I have wanted to hike starting at the overlook.
Those of you who know me, know that I LOVE to eat and I love to hike. What could be better than to hike into the mountains and eat?
Again, my morning commune with nature and the outdoors took me to a wonderful experience of nature, beauty and relaxation.
After work today I noticed it was still beautiful outside. Even thought it was chilly, I decided to go to Dry Canyon for a short hike and some outside time.
