Even the smallest act of kindness can elevate someone’s day. It tells another human being they are not alone, that someone is out there thinking of them.
Sometimes you believe that you are doing something out of love and in the service of another person’s happiness. But if you do not act from a place of deep understanding of the other person, your actions may actually be making them suffer.
Today's food line was a little harder than the others. Not only were we short volunteers, we had two and needed ten, but the needs was great, the line was long and there were a few very eye opening and unfortunate circumstances.
