Little did I know that I was hitting the sweet spot on that day. As soon as I got into Provo Canyon, I could tell there was a plenty of color. As I drove east into Heber, the color was intensifying. I was beginning to feel that I was in for a special treat.
The 4th of July weekend presented lots of holiday fun and also lots of hiking beauty. This post focuses on the hiking.

Our goal today was to get to the top of Buffalo Peak. In May, we made up to the base of the last steep push to the peek. However, Ann and I were so distracted by the flowers, as shown in the post from May, that we ran out of time and said we would have to come back and do it again.
I woke up early this morning and had the brilliant idea to go take a drive into Provo Canyon and up the Alpine Loop past Sundance Resort. I wanted to do something to escape the unfortunate Coronavirus circumstances in which we find ourselves.
