I thought I would find some beautiful pix this morning, focusing on flowers, as a representation of their beauty and our love for them. I think it is a lovely way to honor our moms.
Today was the day of trail exploration. I headed out from the Bonneville Shoreline trail head with the intention of going deeper into the canyon on that trail than I ever had before. While I did accomplish the goal of going deeper into the canyon than every before, I did not do it on the Shoreline trail, I actually hopped off the trail and explored a vast network of smaller tributary trails.
This time I went much deeper into the trail. By so doing, I found one of its greatest treasures - lots of mountain biking trails and lots of mountain bikers riding.
If you were hoping this post was about some awesome recipe of how to cook chicken while camping out on a mountain, then you will likely be disappointed. Nope, this post is about a 6' 3" chicken. Me.
On May 1 of each year, Squaw Peak Road is opened back up for car travel. There are several trails that I have wanted to hike starting at the overlook.
Two of my daughters, Yana and Riri, decided to join for dinner on the mountain and then they went home and left me all alone on the mountain. Of course, I was totally groovy with that. Although, it would have been great if they stayed.
My hiking this season so far is on fire. For instance this morning, I encountered so many interesting things.
