My Aunt Lynn and Uncle Jim live less than 2 hours away from the Grand Canyon. As we were driving back to Salt Lake from their ranch, we took the back roads that led through the Grand Canyon National Park. Because Harrisen had to be at work that day, we did not think we would be able to see the canyon this trip.
Little did we know that we could not avoid seeing it. The road we were taking, goes right around the southern portion of the canyon.
WE WERE TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY WHEN WE CAUGHT OUR FIRST GLIMPSE.
We kept telling ourselves that we couldn’t stop due to our time constraints, but each time we saw a vista, we had to stop! We are looking forward to taking our time on a visit over Spring Break.
We had lots of fun on the drive back. It was particularly fun when Juju developed a bad case of gas. She cleared out the van!
